Lead User Experience Designer

Led design strategy for ICIS’s largest-ever technology transformation: a multi-year programme to consolidate five legacy editorial and analytics systems into a single unified platform. Designed the next-generation editorial and analytics platform, delivering a 47% improvement in collaboration efficiency and enabling a company-wide shift from editorial-first to data-driven analytical workflows.

Managed a team of seven designers, implementing targeted upskilling programmes in Figma, analytics tools, and stakeholder management. Planned and facilitated co-design workshops and Design Sprints, using Miro and FigJam to gather insights and ideas across distributed teams.

Founded and led the ICIS AI Study Group across the Digital Design Team, driving early adoption of AI-assisted design tools. Led discovery and early-stage redesign of England’s leading care home rostering software, conducting user research and building the design foundations that informed the full product transformation. Contributed to business development by designing UX strategies for client pitches.


Senior UX Designer

Led UX strategy across IG Group’s trading, payments, onboarding, and conversion product areas over seven years, with work spanning the Nadex mobile PWA, the Nadex web trading platform, and IG’s core UK products. Championed user-centred design principles through embedded collaboration with developers, design sprints, and stakeholder workshops.

Redesigned IG’s payment services and account verification flows, improving bank verification rates from 35% to 76% and reducing customer service interactions by 54%. The proportion of verification requests processed within one hour rose to 65%, with average case resolution time improving from 2.25 to 1.0 days within a month of launch.

Led the design of IG’s new share-dealing platform, contributing to a revenue increase of 44% for FY20 versus FY19 and reaching 88% of total share-dealing trading volume. Led end-to-end UX design of the Nadex mobile PWA for mobile and desktop, reaching 20% of total trading volume within two weeks of open beta.

Early Career

Three years across agency and in-house environments, beginning as a User Researcher at Spotless (2011–2013), conducting research and competitive analysis for major retail clients. Subsequently a User Experience Consultant at Accenture (2013), contributing to the Argos digital transformation and designing cross-platform mobile navigation. Joined Content and Code (2013–2014) as the firm’s first UX consultant, establishing standardised research and design methodologies.
